Top tips to support parents with remote learning

The Department for Education has partnered with Clinical Psychologist, Dr Elizabeth Kilbey to provide practical tips for parents to support remote learning a...

Remote Learning is essential for any pupil who is able to learn but, for a genuine reason, cannot attend school. Pupils who are ill are not expected to complete this work but anyone who is well (eg isolating due to COVID-19 but not symptomatic) is expected to complete the work. We will provide no less than 4 hours of work for KS2 remote learners and 3 hours of work for KS1 and younger learners for each day they cannot attend. The activities will be based on a range of subjects the child would have experienced had they have been in school in order to maintain a broad, balanced and varied curriculum.

At Leamore, we have chosen the Google Classroom platform to facilitate remote learning. Children have had opportunities to learn how to use this platform within school and homework is shared weekly through the platform. Please click the link below to go to Google Classroom.

If you are struggling to access the work, look at the 'Self-help' files at the bottom of the page and, if you are still having issues, please contact the class teacher through class dojo for assistance.
